Want To Know How To Ruin Your Case? Ask Your Lawyer To Get Involved In Your Medical Care
Instead of relying on your attorney for medical advice and referrals, treat your situation just like you were hurt but not in a car accident. Ask your primary care doctor for a referral.
Something else a lot of my clients are unaware of is
the "gold standard" for doctors - Board Certification.
The
American Board of Medical Specialties is the
governing body responsible for certifying doctors.
In addition to all the requirements all doctors must
meet before practicing medicine, Board Certification
also requires ongoing education beyond medical school,
specialty training, and periodic written and oral
examinations to demonstrate competency.
Finally, a doctor must get recertified every 6-10 years.
